Bible Principles for

Managing our Finances

• God blesses those who make money through honest work rather than sinful practices.  Proverbs 13:11
• God calls us to pay back what we owe and help those who have helped us. Matthew 6:12  
• It’s wise for us to plan, think through how we’ll make money, and spend money. Proverbs 15:22
• We are stewards of the resources God has provided us with, AKA money managers. Proverbs 13:11 
• God cares about the way we handle our finances. 1 Samuel 2:30 
• We should pursue excellence when it comes to money management. Proverbs 3:9-10
• At no point should we care more about our wealth over our relationship with Christ. Luke 16:9 
• It is not sinful to have money. 1 Timothy 6:10

The Bible emphasizes

 money management with

wisdom, integrity, and stewardship.

Proverbs 13:11

 By examining the biblical perspective on money management, we can glean timeless principles that resonate across cultures and generations 

1. Money is a resource entrusted to us by God. Proverbs 10:22 
2. Money provides for our needs of self, family, and others in life.  1 Timothy 6:6 -10
3. Honest work, paying debts, and helping others are important to God. Proverbs 3:27-28

HB908 is currently on the Governor's desk, awaiting signature in late July.

HB908 mandates the reporting of missing children to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children by all Texas 

law enforcement agencies.
